We're back!!!

We are back from our amazing honeymoon & wedding! The wedding was gorgeous & we went to Belize for the honeymoon. Highly recommend it for anyone wanting a beach vacation!

Sorry I'm such a late blogger this week. Thats what happens when I don't blog in AM at work.

We met with a guy today about a quote for a fence, well, sprinkler system & sod for the house. Then we got to go in! It looks awesome! I have pictures below of the outside & the view from living room to kitchen with cabinets in.
Also got some of the guys' gifts-the ones that didn't come from theknot.com & finished packing. Steve drove me to mom & dad's but then went back home till Wednesday. I'll miss him until then :(
I've been here about 3 hrs & already have a list of things I forgot. Guess it's a good thing he is at home right now.
Tomorrow my mom, her friends & I are making the mints for the wedding. I'm hoping this will make me not want to eat sugar again! I've heard that you use a TON of sugar for wedding mints. We'll see....

Today is my last day for about 2 weeks at work. It'll be hard to concentrate today! I'm off all next week, the week of the honeymoon & the next Monday.

My food has not been going according to planned. Last night I ate a jr burger from sonic, went tanning & then to Target to find a swimsuit for the honeymoon. As I'm standing in the store being annoyed by the little teenagers that say "i'm not sure a small will fit me-I might have to get an extra small" Oh to not have hips & thunder thighs!! I was about to give up when Steve called & I told him where I was & that I was frustrated. So he came to help me find one. And he did-I love it too!
Then he hadn't ate yet so we went to Wendy's-I didn't eat another meal but I felt like I had to have a twisted frosty. Only ate 1/2 though so I guess that was good.
Today's food:

L- lunch out with co-workers-not going to be good healthy wise but I'll try my best!! *update* I was good. grilled chicken breast with 2 small round grilled potatoes
D- Mom's in town so I don't know what we'll have

Almost the single digits!!

I can't even bring myself to post my ugly # this morning. I ended up running thru Taco Bell last night for dinner b/c I got a call from Steve while I was out doing some errands. So I had a quesadilla & soft taco. Pair that with my lunch at TGI Friday's of a sandwich & salad and no workout= yucky morning weight
New day today!!

L- either lettace w/light italian dressing or soup

Still have a few errands to run tonight so I don't know when I'll get to exercise but I WILL do it tonight! My tan is getting better now that I switched to the bronzer bed & using a lotion with fast acting bronzer.

11 until wedding....12 until the beach

Morning weigh in 158.8-not bad since I had ice cream last night after I dropped Steve off. I should get the good fiancee award for last night. He had a bachelor party in SC over spring break but our friends here wanted to give him one. So last night was his 2ND bachelor party. They rented the party bus so I dropped them off at the bar about 9:00 & got the phone call at 2am to come pick them up. After I'd been asleep about 3 hrs but hey its totally worth it to know they are all safe.

*update* I was suprised yesterday when my co-workers decided to have a shower for me. So this morning we had fruit & muffins along with they gave us the camera with extra memory card! I'm so excited!!! They said there would be more presents later in the week due to the short notice.
I just had the fruit & stayed away from the muffins. Go me for the 2nd day in a row staying away from the temptations at work! :)

2 weeks!!

It's pretty late on Saturday night so it's almost like it's 13 days but you all know what I mean.
No weigh in as I'm at my parents this weekend.

I did hit the gym this morning with mom which felt awesome! I have a treadmill at home that I use but since I don't belong to a gym I never get the weights anymore.

Wedding update: we met with photographer today to confirm times & pay up this morning, finished the pew baskets & did about 20 of the 100 wheat bags. Wheat bags instead of rice or bird seed are the KS girl in me :)

I'm back at my parents this weekend. Mom & I went to a baby shower for a grade school friend on our way to the rental store. We've got tables & linens rented for the wedding. We made most of the pew baskets that go on side of pews at the church & cut the tuling for the wheat bags. Since my dad & grandpa are grow wheat & we're in KS-we are throwing wheat rather than bird seed, rice or blowing bubbles.
I won't weigh in tomorrow morning b/c I don't have my scale. Plan is church, dinner then head back home with the family in tow so we can go tour the new house. Steve had to work this weekend so we'll meet up with him in the afternoon. I hope he gets off work early! :)

22 to go!

Last night I didn't workout. As a combination of working late, wanting to watch Grey's instead, being frustrated with my weight when I do workout & just the plain being lazy too. The effect: morning weigh in of 158.0. WTH? That put me at a 2.2lb loss for week 1 of our weight loss challenge & a 1.37% weight loss. Nothing thats going to win me any awards as I work with some VERY competitive people who packed on the water weight last week so the leader right now is over 4% loss. I'm about in the middle. I am competitive but I know I have plenty to lose without packing on the lbs to win the 1st week. We get no prizes until the end so I'm going with slow & steady will win the race.

D- we are having a department party for bowling, pizza & go-carts this afternoon. I'm not a huge fan of the pizza so probably just 1 piece

Excited yet disappointed

I'm super excited the wedding is 23 days away! Yet I'm very disappointed with my weight. I feel like I've been good with food & exercising every day yet this morning's weigh in was 160.2. I know that if I'm building muscle with the exercise that I won't see the scale drop but I want to be toned so I don't want to just eat healthy. I want to do both & the scale go down double fast! Life isn't fair right & I just need to suck it up! Ok vent over.

Exercise- a nice long slow workout with some situps & dumbbells. Enough to get my heart racing & start sweating but when I do high intensity workouts I can only last a short time. Maybe I need to go for endurance. Any clues from anyone???

27 days & counting....

Morning weigh in: 157.0! This feels awesome!
No breakfast again this morning as it's already 11am & I just got up. (I did eat a handful of M&Ms so I guess that could be called my breakfast. When I was at the store yesterday Steve's only request for food was sprite & candy. I bought M&Ms & some Reese's mini's-will have to be really good not to be tempted too much :)
L- idk yet, maybe tomato soup & grilled cheese???
D- we have a friends' 21st birthday at On the Border-i'll order soft tacos & limit myself to a few chips & salsa

going to look at the house today-the sheetrock is starting tomorrow so we want to see it just framed one last time. They installed the wrong sliding glass door but the new one is in now & I want to see it. Had a little drama b/c the alarm company had to come out a second time to reinstall the stuff on that door but thank goodness we have a great sales rep! He's so nice that he didn't charge us for the 2nd trip & moved his installers around so that they could get it done by when our builder wanted it done by.
Steve'll be doing homework all day so I will get in a workout this afternoon. Nothing else planned....which is nice!

Yesterday's weigh in was 160.2 and today's was 157.8! Look what a combination of Aunt Flo leaving & a good workout yesterday will do! I can definetely get to 149.9 by the wedding if I keep this up.
We slept in REALLY late so I didn't have breakfast.

Happy May Day

I'm getting married this month!!!!
Today starts the weight loss challenge at work! We have 20 people doing it so the pot is up to $400 bucks! 1st gets $200, 2nd-$100, 3rd-$60 & 4th-$40. Talk about motivation-$200 bucks & being skinny, I'm totally there!!
No breakfast this morning as we picked out lighting & appliances today. An expensive morning-we went $800 over our allowance in total for both but I figured why buy the standard light knowing that I'm going to change in out in a few months.
L- recruiting event here at work so it wasn't pretty. Salad, about a fist size of chicken enchilada, a few chips & salsa. and here's the kicker......1/2 brownie
D- sandwich & apple

E- Gotta get back to the treadmill-I took yesterday off.

Morning weigh in: 158.2 whoo hoo! I like being down but the competitive person in me wishes the weight had dropped Saturday since our weight loss challenge here at work starts tomorrow. Maybe I'll use my weight from Wed as my starting weight-think thats legal? I'll just say I started my challenge earlier than others. lol

Mrs Allen sounds like an old lady but it's still exciting!
Morning weigh in: 159.9 ugh! what's up with that? I did the 13 flights of stairs last night, had one (pretty big) soft taco with only cheese, salsa, meat & tortilla for dinner and a 1 pt weight watchers fudge pop for snack. any ideas?

Good news is that I had a dentist appt this morning & the lady there hadn't seen me in 6 months. She noticed I'd lost weight-YAY!! I've lost 9.8 since Christmas but no one says anything to me so I think it must be so gradual that no one I see all the time notices. That was a good ego boost to help keep me motivated :)
I'd still like to get to 150 by the wedding but 9 lbs in 32 days might be tough. I can sure work towards that though!

Oh now I'm excited! We are doing a post tax season weight loss challenge here at work. It's 6 weeks starting next Friday & it's a $20 buy-in, winner based on % weight lost, and the prize gets split 1st 50%, 2nd 25%, 3rd 15% & 4th 10%. I work with a lot of people who I think might do it so we could be talking about some good $$ here on top of being healthy! What more could I want? :)

Day 105

Morning weigh in: 160.0-wow what a difference being able to sleep in & less stress does for my weight. I lost 2.2 lbs overnight? Now if I could just do that the next 5 days I'd be at my goal weight 39 days early! HA HA

L- salad with light ranch dressing & cup of fruit while shopping with my mom.
D- Olive garden with mom & Steve. I had about 1/2 order of chicken fetticini, 1.5 breadsticks & some salad

I had my final dress fitting-it looks awesome!! The woman did a great job with the length (which I was worried about b/c of my walking) and the bustle is awesome. She said it was a very tricky bustle b/c of the design on the sides but it looks fab!!! Just makes me smile thinking how great it looks.
Mom & I had our annual after-tax season massages today too. They were ok but nothing amazing. I think we'll try another place next time. :(
We also went to Hobby lobby & got lots of wedding stuff-tuling for the little bags (we are throwing wheat instead of bird seed or rice since we are from KS & my dad is a wheat farmer). Ribbons, stuff to make the pew decor (May baskets as my mom calls them) and I'm making our rehearsal dinner invites.
Tomorrow we meet with the electrician at the new house & then I'm off to my parents' house for the weekend. 2 showers & wedding stuff-I'm excited!

Day 104

It's here!!! Tax season is over today! I went home last night about 5:30 to relax/celebrate with Steve. It was the best night! He cooked a low fat chicken with paprika recipe & then we went out to have drinks which turned into drinks & dessert but hey why not?
Morning weigh in (showed the dessert) 162.2 oh holy cow!!!
Yes I've still lost 6.6 lbs during tax season & worked almost 900 hours in 14 weeks so I guess thats ok. Now I'm super motivated though!!!

L- company is buying quiznos (they don't want us to think about leaving for lunch)
S- company is buying lots & lots of rounds of drinks to celebrate end of tax season
D- my little brother & his girlfriend are coming down to the college baseball game tonight to go with Steve & I. They want to see the house & we'll go out to dinner with them before the game.

Plans for the next 4 days-which I have off!!!!
Thur- massage, dressing fitting, shopping & hanging with my mom (who's also a CPA-ok I can't say also b/c I'm not one yet but you know what I mean)
Fri- maybe a late lunch when I meet my mom at her office, meet with flower lady, look for wedding stuff
Sat- the church we are getting married at is throwing us a shower
Sun- my aunts are throwing us a shower
I plan on dragging my mom on a walk all 3 days I'm at their house-Fri thru Sun. Or at least I'll workout on her eliptical & I'm going to workout on Thursday at home on the treadmill.
150s here I come!!! My goal is 150.0 by my wedding day which is 45 days away. Think I can lose 12.2 lbs in 45 days??

Happy Easter! Day 101

Morning weigh in: 159.8 thank goodness it was back down under my scary number.
I'm back at work this morning-just going to be here while Steve is working a lunch shift.

Day 100

Morning weigh in: horrible-161.4 what???? I've worked 64 hrs in 5 days so I'm not getting any sleep which makes me gain weight worse than eating bad. My guess is that I'll approach 80 by end of day Sunday. I'm tired....4 days to go!! Thursday is going to feel like the best day in the world. Mom & I have massages scheduled, final dressing fitting, buying Steve's wedding band, looking for clothes for bridal shower/rehearsal dinner/going away and just plain relaxing.

Day 99

Morning weigh in: dangerously close to what I call my scary number of 160-I was 159.9.
Considering work bought Old Chicago last night & I had a ton of food, I'm not suprised. I wanted to keep myself under the 160 mark until April 15th. Once I go back to working 40 hours rather than 70+/week, I'll have tons of time to workout right? I've only got 50 days until our wedding day from today & will have 45 after tax season until the wedding. So I'm setting new goals:
1) Lose those last nasty 10 lbs to get to 150 by wedding day- thats 1.56/week very do-able with dedication
2) Drink only water in the afternoon (I was doing good at this until I started the 70 hr/weeks & I was just too tired not to have caffeine in the afternoon)
3) Take the 14 flights of stairs down between my office & the car at least once a week
4) Do treadmill cardio at least 3 times a week if not 4

Still didn't weigh in this morning but I don't like the feeling of not weighing in. I'm scared I'll think I'm doing fine but gain it all back in the next 2 weeks so I think I'll weigh in tomorrow & face the music.

I've decided that I won't take my next test until after the wedding. Plus I'm only going to get to plan a wedding once so why not enjoy every minute of it! Then I can really buckle down & focus on studying after the wedding.

It felt weird not to weigh in this morning but oh well-lets see if this works for me. Its a blizzard outside today. I actually left work about 8 last night-wanted to work until 11 or 12 but Steve wanted me home so that I was safe. Guess I'll work all day today & some on Sunday when the weather is suppose to be better. He'll be studying all day anyways so I'll sneak away to the office for a few hours.

Day 85

Ok I've been avoiding writing this blog but I'm eating lunch so might as well do it.
My scale &/or body fat officially hate me! I don't know how but the scale says I gained like 4lbs in one day. I don't believe it. I always weigh in the mornings (after bathroom of course to get those last .2 lbs outta me :)
We just got the email last week to kick our hours up to minimum 60 & we got a "please work more than the minimum & we will re-evaluate min hrs again on Monday" email this morning.
So my new plan is for the next 19 days (yes I have a countdown until April 15th)
1) try to eat healthy but not count calories/points, etc
2) work as much as possible (only work & sleep)
3) not weigh until 4/15 as the numbers on the scale stress me out, which doesn't help at all

I will still blog my food b/c I love getting the comments & need to keep myself somewhat accountable. And I'm enough of a numbers nerd that as I'm writing down my food, I'll be calculating the calories in my head but hey I can't have everything right? :)

Day 82

Morning weigh in: 158.2 my scale slowly keeps getting less & less. Thats a good trend.
Not sure today is going to be a good day food-wise. At work, we have mentors to help us through our career & I have my 1st mentor lunch with my new mentor (just switched to a partner in the firm that specializes in non-profits audit, which I'm trying to specialize in non-profit tax so it's perfect!) Plus the fact that a partner accepted a 3rd year staff as a mentee really has me excited!! And then for dinner, Steve & I plan to go out to enjoy him being home.

Well I avoided the ice cream on the way home last night!! Major feat for me b/c usually when I want ice cream that bad I can't say no to it.
Morning weigh in: 158.8-I guess the stress of not knowing my score has gone away so my lbs are slipping back to what they were. I'd still like to get to 149.9 by April 15th-which is only 24 days away so I'm scared I won't get there. But I'll still try my hardest!

My CPA exam score should come sometime this week. I'm really scared for it! Its been 2 1/2 weeks since I took it & it seems the longer time goes, the worst I feel about it. I think its b/c I forget about the parts that I did do right & only remember the parts I did wrong on. And its easy to 2nd guess myself later. But I need a 75 to pass & I'm really hoping I got it. I know it seems silly but I had a dream last week that I got a 76. Maybe dreams do come true? :)

Steve leaves Thursday to go back to his hometown in South Carolina for his bachelor party this weekend. I'm excited he gets to see all his friends & family but wish I could go with him. :(

We get to make house decisions on Tuesday morning (carpet, vinyl, countertops & backsplash) so thats exciting. And we looked & picked out wedding bands today! And its awesome b/c mine is on sale too! :)

Ok I'm so frustrated I'm about ready to say forget this losing weight crap! I weighed in this morning at 159.0! WTH? I can only do so much between working tax season hours, sleeping & semi feeling like a person who has a life but then to add being a fatty & needing to lose weight too? I'm so frustrated!!!! I am not willing to go on a super strick diet for the next 78 days just so I can be 145 on my wedding day-I want to be able to keep it off! Why was the BMR calculator working for like 5 days & now I feel like its against me? :(

Morning weigh in 157.8! I'm so excited to finally be losing weight again after being stuck for so long.
Last nights dinner & snack changed when Steve said he'd bring home some On The Border. So I had 2 beef enchiladas & some chips with queso. It was so good & since I'd only had 400 cal all day I didn't feel too guilty!

Well he got out of his kennel (not sure how b/c it was locked) and clawed/chewed up the carpet & door frame so much that we are going to have to replace it! so much for not having to put $ into a rental. we want to keep our landlord on our really good side so she lets us out of our lease when we want to move in July (like she said she would-we just don't want her to go back on it)

Day 61

I'm stuck! At 159.9! Granted this week Aunt Flo comes to visit so I probably should just be thankful that I'm stuck rather than going up but it's still frustrating!
We have a countdown on our fridge for days left until tax season is over & until our wedding. We only have 89 days until the wedding! So exciting yet I am freaking out b/c I wanted to lose 15 more lbs. And 15lbs in 3 months is quite a bit! So HELP!! I'm going to kick up my workouts since they are pretty much none right now & start drinking more water. Any other ideas??

I just found out my BMR is 1539 so thats what I need to stay the same weight if I would just lay in bed all day and little to no exercise means BMRx1.2=cal needed per day. And to lose 1 lb, you need to cut out 3500 cal, so if my math is right & I want to lose 1lb a week, I need to eat at least 1300 cal. If I eat more than that, I'd better be working out enough to work it off. And 1lb a week is 13lbs total. Which would put me at 147.9. That would be awesome! I'm so motivated now!!!

Day 59

Morning weigh in 159.9 which is alright since I didn't get a workout in yesterday & probably retaining a little water weight from the chips & salsa. But I have one planned later today. I need to be productive today-workout, clean house, grocery store.
L- PB&J sandwich & pretzels
D- I've been craving meatloaf & baked potato lately so thats the plan. Plus thats Steve's fav meal so I know he won't have any objections to it. :)
S-a few thin mint girl scout cookies & glass of milk. i couldn't turn down the little girls at the grocery store who said "do you want to buy some cookies from us?" it was too cute!

Exercise- treadmill workout & some dumbbell workout for my flabby arms. They aren't really flabby-I lifted weights in high school so I built up big arms & now that I don't do that every day, they are just big. So I'm trying to tone them so they look good for the wedding. I'm thinking about doing a body wrap before the wedding to reduce the look of my flab that I don't work off with exercise. Has anyone tried them? I've heard great things about them. I was going to do a trial run a few weeks before so I know how my body will react.

I just finished making a diet coke cake for work for a co-worker's bday tomorrow. I'm pretty excited b/c I love that cake & its semi healthy! If you've never had one, I recommend trying it!
Recipe is: box of chocolate cake mix, 12 oz diet cherry coke, light whipped cream & light cherry pie filling. I couldn't find diet cherry coke in a 2 LT so my cake is a cherry coke zero cake. I'll let you know if there is any difference. I've been told its about 3 points on the weight watcher scale.

Morning weigh in was on the right track: 159.9! I've got a mini goal to be 149.9 by the end of tax season which is April 15th. It's going to be tough but I can focus on working out in my spare time now. I can do it-I've got to so that I look good in our wedding pictures! "Is that food/snack worth hating the way I look in wedding pics for REST of our lives?" is my new motto!!!

I'm exhausted today-our puppy that got fixed the other day has had to be an inside dog since we need to limit his activity for a few days. He made us pay for it last night-whined & barked all night long. He just didn't want to be in his kennel b/c he'd been in it during the day. (they are never in their kennels during the day unless its raining out & we aren't home). I think he let me sleep about 3 hrs last night. Being tired usually isn't a good thing when I'm trying to avoid snacking....

It's done!!! I won't know if I passed or not for about 3-4 weeks but the test is over! Can't do anything about it now. It went....okay...not great but not horrible either. It is such a hard test to judge on how I did. Now it's the waiting game.

It's Fat Tuesday & my body has decided to follow with that motto for the day. It was ugly-162.0! The test is tomorrow morning so I'm done studying. Tonight is going to be a relaxing night with dinner with my sweetie, nice workout to clear my head & hanging out with my puppies (one of them got fixed today so I'm thinking he's going to be sulking tonight & just want to snuggle).

Morning weigh in: 160.6. I have yo-yo'd my weight for 2 weeks preparing for this exam but if gaining weight means I pass then I can handle that. Its more important for me to get this over with than to have to lose 3 more lbs.

I never usually waste calories on pop b/c I drink Diet but for some reason I was bad with it today. My total calories ended up being 1340 which is only about 100 over about what I try to stay at every day but it wasn't good for me food.


Below is a picture of our view standing in the middle of our lot-where our new house is going to be built! They think they'll start digging the basement in about a week or week & half. I can't wait to be sitting on our deck this summer with the grill going & a drink in hand! :) (Plus we'll be married & I'll be skinny then right?!)

I usually allow myself whatever I want to eat b/c I'm so stressed about the test the days right before the exam. Day 49

I'm stuck! The scale has said 159.9 for 3 days in a row now. Granted I'd rather it be stuck than going up but I hate plateau's with a passion. It gets frustrating & I'm not a patient person by any means.
We had a little house drama yesterday-the developer double sold our lot! Steve stopped by & saw them digging our basement. Which we thought was odd b/c we haven't signed off on plans yet but that was still exciting. Until the realtor called & said that he thought the developer had double sold our lot & it wasn't our basement they were digging! So after some negiotating, we settled on a new bigger lot for just 500 bucks more. I sure made the developer pay though! He's losing 3,000 in the deal-HA HA. That was my win for the day I guess!

1. Steve, he can make me laugh no matter what. I can be in the worst of moods & the second he acts like he is going to tickle me I'm instantly giggling. Even when I try to fight the giggles, it never works.


2. My puppies Ramsey & Buster. No matter if
I've just yelled at them for doing something wrong, I know I can lay out the blanket on the couch & they will instantly jump on it to snuggle with me. And they are both over 100lbs each so thats a lot of puppy to meet me at the door every day.

3. My family. I grew up with a very sarcastic Dad & little brother who can always make me laugh. Its been a few years since I've lived with them so I sometimes forget how they can make a joke out of anything that is said.

4. Seeing the scale go down or being able to buy clothes a smaller size :)

5. Chocolate, yes I know that #4 & 5 don't go together but chocolate makes everything feel better even if its just for a minute or two. Its like when we were younger & having someone kiss a bruise was going to make it stop hurting. It did even if it was just for a second! :)

6. The idea of our honeymoon. I've never seen the ocean so the fact that the beaches of Belize is going to be my 1st memory-I'm so excited!! They are suppose to be some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. I have a picture of a Belize beach as my desktop of my computer at work, sometimes that is the way I get through a crazy day in tax season-to know that once tax season is over, its almost our wedding & honeymoon. Only 106 days until our wedding & 107 until the honeymoon :)

Morning weigh in just like I thought: 160.6!!! Now instead of feeling bad about going back into the 160s, it just makes me mad/frustrated at myself. Today I'm super determined to eat healthy & make tomorrow morning a prettier picture. I've heard of water weight, is there such a thing as sugar cookie weight? :)

We picked brick for the new house this morning! But since we had that appt I walked out of the house w/o breakfast. So I gave in to our "midweek munchies" that the company provides for us during tax season.....cookies!

Day 37

The morning of the dressing fitting!!! I'm so excited. Its been almost 6 months since I've seen my dress & I can't wait.

Dress fitting: I still am in love with my dress!!! The lady didn't want to let out the side much but when it was zipped up I could hardly breathe! And where it was tight was my ribs-I can't lose weight on my ribs as I don't have fat there. But situps might help just a little so that is my new area of focus along with cardio to get rid of fat layers. And oh yeah my arms need help too! But my dress fits my body well b/c my mom & Brittney both used the words "skinny". Its been a LONG time since that word & my name were in a sentence. LOL

Morning weigh in: 159.0!!! Ok now that I've been in the 150s for 3 days-time to set a new mini-goal. How about to get to the 140s by April 1st. Thats 9 lbs in 7 1/2 weeks. VERY possible. My overall goal is about 145 so then that would leave 5 lbs to wrap up the 6 weeks before the wedding. I can do this!!!
We got a new Eddie Bauer mag in the mail the other day & they had swimsuits on sale. I don't even want to think about putting my body in a swimsuit yet! Ewww!!!

We want to close by June 29th so we can get a 1st time homebuyers' tax credit! Gotta close before July 1 to get that though so it'll be close!

Day 24

Morning weigh in 161.4
Steve & I spent the whole day (since I didn't get up until noon) looking at houses. We are renting now but would love to find something to buy. We found a great subdivision out west that we can build! We really like the area, the realtor & price so know we are going to need to crunch some #s, look into financing & all that fun stuff! The realtor said they are looking at about 5 months or so from start to finish so that would put it about July if we started here soon. Perfect timing with being out of tax season, Steve would be slowed down b/c not in school full time & we'd have the wedding out of the way. So keep your fingers crossed for us!
Food wasn't pretty today. I got up at 12, we headed out right then so didn't stop to eat until about 3:30ish & it was McDonalds.
Tonight I'm not sure what its going to be. I'm watching the ABC show Extreme Home Makeover as its about my hometown that was hit by a tornado last summer.

Day 22

Morning weigh in: 161.0! I am so close to the 150s that I can taste it! LOL
B-Fiber One bar (140 cal)
L- Smart ones rice & beans (310 cal)
S- mini chocolate bar (85 cal)
D- 1 pt beef pot roast soup (120 cal)
S- another late night at the office=chocolate! (150 cal)
I probably ruined my good weigh-in for tomorrow :(

But even with all the chocolate I was only at 805 calories! I might have a glass of milk later but thats still less than 80 cal.
Off to studying I go.... In this last month before my test, when I only have the time/energy for either working out or studying I'm ALWAYS going to pick studying. This damn test costs almost 300 bucks to take each time & I'm so ready to be DONE with it. I've been taking it since Aug of 07 & only 1/2 way done. This is my year though! Getting married to the man of my dreams, lose weight/getting healthy & passing the exam! :)

Day 21

As expect, I went up a little: 162.4
I worked until about 10:30pm last night so no exercise happened. Good thing was that I was so tired that I didn't eat very much when I got home, just a few grapes.
B- Fiber One Bar
L- Smart Ones Chicken Enchiladas (290 cal & 6 WW pts)-which was AWESOME!!! I really love these. It feels like I'm cheating when I'm really not! YAY
S- 100 cal cookie snack
D- 1 pt Chicken noodle soup

I WILL exercise tonight!! I miss it! And I'm going to study tonight also so only about a 11 or 12 hr day today at work I think.

Day 20

I about fainted this morning- 161.2!!!
Last night I worked until about 8:30 & my sweetie made me a PB&J sandwich with wheat thins while I changed after working late. Guess that was a good decision to have for dinner.
Had morning dr appt & walked out of the house without my lunch or breakfast! So my food plan changed:
S- Oatmeal squares cereal-got to work late & it wasn't too long until lunch
L- chef salad w/ranch dressing on the side
D-1 pt chicken noodle soup
S-mini Butterfinger bar (late nights at the office suck for answering cravings!)

You will notice during tax season I eat a TON of soup & frozen smart ones meals. They are easy & taste pretty good. Plus I've got to have stuff thats easy to take & throw in the microwave :)
My plan is to work late so I don't know what exercise I'll do-either treadmill or strength training and do some studying b/c I paid for my next test today! Plan to take it the end of Feb.

Day 18

Effect of the ice cream run last night: 163.2! Very happy with that. I plan to eat very good today so it won't hit me tomorrow either. I'd like to be 162.something tomorrow!
B-Fiber one bar, I had the oats & chocolate one today not bad but I think I like the PB ones better. Not sure if I should eat those until the FDA finds out what foods are tainted with the samonella. I don't know how to spell that but its close enough right?
L- 1 pt Progressive soup-roasted chicken & veggie (140 cal)
S- maybe some FF popcorn???
D- A client is having an open house for their restaurant that my boss is letting me go to! I get to take Steve with me so it should be fun. They are a Mongolian Stir-Fry & they are just opening. I'm a tax accountant so the fact that I get to go eat some of my clients' work is awesome-usually they manufacture something or another. It should be fun! Not sure what Mongolian Stir Fry is so I don't know how healthy that is for me.


Official date of 1st dress fitting: Feb 7th at 1:30pm! 3 weeks to keep on track! I've given a co-worker permission to get after me if I want to eat chocolate/bad snacks! She's a good shot with rubber bands. :)

Day 17

Morning weigh in: 163.0-not suprising.
I've read 100days' blog & got inspirired to set a mini goal of being in the 150s by the Feb 8th. Even if its 159.9! It will require some focus & discipline but I can do it!! 3 lbs in 3 weeks.
Woke up late-gotta love Sundays!
L-PB&J sandwich & pretzels (210+100 cal)

(planned) D- meatloaf & potatoes-which is Steve's favorite meal ever!!
I figure I'll make it now since I'm about ready to start tax season & our meals together don't seem to happen regularly then. Between my working so much & his schedule with school & work at the restaurant, our time together is VERY precious for the next 3 1/2 months!

Good news about my studying progress-I've through reading all the chapters now I just have to review until I can say it in my sleep! This CPA exam is kicking my butt!!

S- ouch this hurts putting this on here but I'm making myself be totally honest with myself & you guys. I went out for ice cream tonight!
When steve was making dinner I knew I had the craving for ice cream so I didn't eat as much dinner as I might have otherwise. When I get these strong sweet cravings, I let myself have them. I am on a diet but I want to keep this up for the rest of my life & if I deprive myself until our wedding, thats when I'll fall off the wagon. Just the way my mind works. This is a lifestyle change for me, and I'm being realistic when I say my lifestyle is going to include sweets sometimes.
Thank goodness for my workout though! Think how ugly the scale could be if I hadn't worked out, ate the extra amount at dinner AND ice cream! :(

Day 16

Morning weigh in: 162.4!! YAY thats the lowest i've been since I started. Guess the not working out didn't hurt me except who knows what I could have been if I'd of done it.
I'm getting ready to hit the treadmill & weights after I get done typing this. Today we are going to get our passports for the honeymoon & go to a college bball game at 3. i'm hoping for a decent lunch so I won't want to snack on all the concession stand food at the game.
L- 3/4 of cheeseburger from Red Robin-SOOO not good for me but it tasted awesome
D- pepperoni pizza slices
I didn't eat much today but what I did eat was not healthy!

Morning weigh in 162.8. Wow what a difference one day of eating good can do!
B-Fiber One bar-I tried the oats & caramel one normally I eat the oats & PB but the caramel is good too!!
L-BBQ Beef (no bun only the beef), potato salad & baked beans
D- PB&J sandwich(210 cal) & baked cheetos chips (110 cal)

I've been really unmotivated to workout these last 2 days & am feeling like a fattie! I'm hoping that my eating was low enough to keep my weight down. I AM going to force myself to workout good tomorrow & Sunday!!
Anyone have any tips on how to motivate myself to workout? I tried the whole thinking about my dress thing & the looking at myself naked in mirror to disgust myself-still nothing! Oh tomorrow is another day!
Back to study for the exam I go for the rest of the night!

Day 14

Morning weigh in: 164.0-not suprising since I ate like crap yesterday.
I usually bring my lunch (& dinner now that its tax season) to work but this week we had 5 new people start so the company is taking us to lunch almost every day this week to welcome them. Thank goodness for that only being this week & starting 55+ hrs/week next week!
B- 110 cal granola bar
L- roasted chicken & noodle progresso light soup (ww 1pt or about 120 cal)
S- 100 cal of M&Ms
D-pb&j sandwich (210 cal) & 110 cal of pretzels

I'm a little sore in the arms today from my workout! :) I didn't workout today like I planned to-got home late from work & needed to study for the cpa exam. I know-no excuse but I promise I will exercise tomorrow since that was my planned day off!

L- Darn these company lunches!! I had 1 1/2 chicken enchiladas & some chips with salsa
S-mini butterfinger bar (work was stressful & needed chocolate! :)
D- salad with FF Italian dressing & 2 pieces of cheese pizza

Thank goodness for my plans to exercise tonight! Exciting news-Steve just booked our plane tickets to Belize for the honeymoon!!! We had the hotel/trip booked but not the plane tickets. We do now! :) Now I definetely have motivation to look hot in my swimsuit for the beach.

Exercise: treadmill workout at a 4.0 incline, lots of push ups, sit ups & dumbbell exercises for my arms.
Guess I inspired Steve to workout b/c after I finished, he jumped on the treadmill for a workout too. :)
Our 2 dogs (1 yr old yellow lab & 2 yr old boxer retreiver) wanted on the treadmill with him too!

Morning weigh in: 163.5-just a little up so i'm not worried
B- granola bar (110 cal)
L- Vietnamese restaurant- beef, veggies & rice noodles. I only ate about 1/2 of the serving they gave me. I went with people from work & one said this is pretty healthy-at least not as bad as it could have been.
S-2 handful of M&Ms
D- 1/3 cup BBQ pork & 1/2 serving of potato salad

Day 12

Morning weigh in: 162.6 again! That makes me happy! :)
My thighs are sore from treadmill & Saturday's squats but nothing on the arms. Guess I'll have to push harder!!!
B- 2 granola bars-220 cal (these are quaker chewy bars with protein but they don't fill me up as much as the fiber one bars do)
L- 1 pt Progressive soup-chicken veg. rotinni (120 cal)
S- cheese, crackers, fruit & a bacardi twist drink (celebration party at work for 2 coworkers who passed the CPA exam this year. Maybe a party for me will be soon as I'm 1/2 way done & have 2 parts left to pass)
D-tomato soup & grilled cheese sandwich. Steve is feeling sick & that is always what he wants when he's sick. seems odd to me but whatever makes him feel better!
I'm taking today & tomorrow off for exercise.

Day 11

Morning weigh in-162.6! I think the water weight from my time of the month is gone & my workouts are doing some good. YAY!! I am sore today in my quads so I definetely think the wall slide squats did some good yesterday. While we were out shopping, Steve & I bought some dumbbells so I can strength training :)
L- 1/2 turkey & croissant (160 cal) & order of potato salad (200 cal) from mcalister's deli
S- 1/2 choc chip cookie from mcalister's (the sweetie that Steve is, he brought me this cookie b/c he knows how much i love them! but i only ate 1/2-maybe i'll be able to resist the rest of it but i'm not counting on it)
D- Steve is making his special herb chicken tonight-it is a healthy recipe that he got from the catering company he used to work for. I'm so excited b/c its so good & i know its not that bad for me! (Let me know if anyone wants the recipe & I'll post it)
Exercise- Treadmill with a higher incline, situps & a lot of arm dumbbell exercises. I think I'll be sore tomorrow as my arms were shaking on the last few I did. And my quads are still sore from yesterday's squats so the treadmill at a higher incline only added to it. YAY-I'm one of those weird people who LIKES to be sore :)

Day 10

Morning weigh in: 164.6. YAY-under the 165 mark!!
B- (about noon) glass of milk & 5 mini reese's cups
L- 3/4 of a turkey sandwich & baked cheetos chips
D- pepperoni pizza
S- weight watchers ice cream treat
Exercise was doing strength training here at home today. I did dips, situps, pushups & wall slide squats. I really hope I'm sore tomorrow! I like being sore b/c it tells me I did enough to do some good but not too much.
I'm really dreading the treadmill for some reason today. So if I tell myself I can do strength training exercises then maybe I won't try to come up with a reason to not exercise at all. Its better than nothing right? And definetely better than lying on the couch & wanting to eat ice cream! :)

I'm really wanting to study all night so I think I'll take tonight off for exercise. My goal has been 4 days a week so with Wed & Thurs I've already done & to do Sat & Sunday will be good.

A bunch of us girls from work went to see Bride Wars this afternoon-I LOVED IT!!! It was great-all women should see it! Its so funny.

Day 8

Morning weigh in: 165.3-blah! I am not too discouraged but it was nice to be under 165 the last few days. Just more motivation to keep working out & to eat better!
Breakfast-granola bar (110 cal)
Lunch- 3 pieces of pizza. :( I was hungry after all that moving our work areas. Too bad I don't think I burned as many calories as I wanted to with the moving. I think it was more boredom hunger-a lot of standing around waiting for the technology people, furniture people, etc to get set up.
Dinner- turkey sandwich & baked cheetos chips
S-3 mini reese's cup & glass of milk

Let's hope my lunch doesn't outweigh the workout & make the scale ugly again in the morning.

Day 7

2 days of no workouts & not eating good= morning weigh-in of.....164.4, not bad at all! I am not going to get caught up on a lb or 2 fluctuation b/c that is normal on a daily basis. Plus that its my favorite week of the month (note sarcasm here) so I'm expected to be a little bloated this week.
Food wasn't great but wasn't horrible either today.
B- fiber one oats & PB bar
L-small bowl chili, hot dog, fruit & veggies & small slice of chocolate cake (i will be so happy once we are done celebrating birthdays here at work!)
D-PB&J sandwich and some reduced fat wheat thin chips

exercise- treadmill workout, 25 pushups & 50 situps
And...the exercise was a lot easier this time that it was this weekend! :)

Day 5

I was down another pound! To 163.6 this morning. This exercise is working-at least for now. Today was a tough food day & its not over yet. At my office we celebrate birthdays with lunches & lots of food-we had one today & one on Wednesday. I did coordinate this one so I opted for a soup bar thinking that might be healthier with fruit, veggies on the list too. I did pretty good considering how bad I could have been.
B-fiber one bar (1 WW pt)
L- red bell pepper soup, fruit, veggies & 5 crackers, 4 pieces of cheese & 3 cubes of meat. And yes...a cc cookie (my weakness) about (9 WW pts)
I'm not sure on dinner yet as Steve & I are heading out of town. My guess is he will want McDonalds-not good choice for food but I can do it!
